There's a light...

...at the end of the lane!

Another day of heavy sleet/hail/rain showers meant shelving walking plans for the day. Instead we sought shelter in the shops of Kendal, and the beer hall of Hawkshead Brewery at Staveley, where not only did they serve great food and beer, but provided an endless supply of free wifi!

But by the end of the day the clouds had lifted and we returned to the cottage, just in time to watch the sun set over the hills...

(As you can see, the snow didn't last long!)
