Diary of an Edinburgher

Spring!

Popped down to see Uncle A this morning and, by the way, borrow his flash drain plunger thingie. The water has never drained very well in the shower (shallow run off) but I think a good plunging will sort it.

Archie walked nicely both ways, and we walked really slowly back, partly necessity - me puffing away up the (slight) hill, and partly so that we’re not walking at his brisk pace. But he barks at random folk. Even folk on the other side of the road, so it’s pointless trying to be ready to distract him. Mind you, he always looks guilty when he does it.

We spotted the lovely wee snowdrops in the sun. This is Archie’s first Spring - his birthday is next week, so he won’t remember last year’s Spring. He seemed quite interested as I explained it all to him. Or is that a bored, glazed look...

When we continued our walk, it started to snow. Yes, must be Spring!!

Back home and I may have done myself a mischief while plunging vigorously in the shower. I shall have to rest up for the afternoon and perhaps watch some rubbish TV. I’m struggling a bit with H is for Hawk,  I’m not as enthralled as everyone else seems to be.

No, I must persevere…

I will not snooze.
I will not snooze.
I will not snooze.
