Pebble

Taken outside University College Hospital this morning, on my way to Friends House. I love its colours, shapes and smoothness - it almost calls out to you to be touched. There was, inevitably, some muttering when it was commissioned, about it being a waste of money that could have been spent on clinical resources. But hospitals, to me, are so much more human and humane places to enter now that they regularly include space for works of art that provide solace and refreshment for the spirit and the soul.
