The English patient
At last doing the sensible thing and taking a few days off work to speed up her recovery from the chest infection that has been plaguing her for the last couple of weeks.
The schools loss is the premature baby units gain as she is spending her time knitting lots of little cardigans, though of course with the imminent arrival of our grandson, at least some of these will be winging their way to China.
Speaking of China, I had a rare email from Luke yesterday asking me to buy 6 bottles of Iron supplement from Amazon and to post them to China as soon as they arrive. Apparently Cary's iron levels are low and the tablets the hospital have prescribed are having very little effect. 6 bottles cost approximately £70 and shipping will probably take that nearer to £100 in total. It would be so much easier if he had married a local girl!
