Strange list

There is a programme on BBC TV called 'Only Connect', where teams of bright young/old things try to find connections between apparently random sets of words, music or pictures.

I wonder what they would make of the list shown here? I spotted it on a cupboard in the Physics prep room.

The list is of apparatus used for Physics practical classes.
