The Artist

I've mentioned her name a few times already this evening and here's the little lady herself.

It's very rare you'll find her without a pen or pencil in her hand and scribbling away on some masterpiece or other. We've recently read Jill Barklem's excellent Brambly Hedge series and her drawings have inspired Carmen to work on similar pictures showing cut away drawings of houses.

I love to see her scribbling away and this evening was particularly good as she was perched on the backdoor step in the sunshine and enjoying our nice new back garden (the novelty hasn't worn off yet!).
