Ahead of the weather

I've often commented that out early with Pooch can be the best weather of the day - and it was certainly the case today - something I've tried to capture with this Blip.
Walking East into the sun the views over to the Howgills and across to the Knott were superb - clear blue sky & sunglasses were definitely required - but a glance over the shoulder towards the West and it was a different story - a wall of black cloud covering Whinfell & Grayrigg Pike and moving quickly in our direction. We picked up our pace & made it to the Stone circle and decided we'd grabbed the best of the day -  turning back towards home the cold of the wind was shocking - but we just managed to get back before the first sleet started to lash the house.
