Niece

It has been emotional and distracting 48 hours, hence the lack of proper blip yesterday. My sister had a long arduous labour and soldiered on an unbelievable amount of time without any medication.

The baby's cord was wrapped around her neck and after several attempted interventions, she was rushed in for an emergency operation under general anaesthetic in the early hours.

Luckily, my sister is OK. Absolutely exhausted and in pain but OK and I have a beautiful niece (just look at her!!!) Am smitten already and feel truly blessed that Squidge will grow up with an "almost-sibling" only two and a bit years older. We have so much fun ahead as two families, I just know it. Imagine the parties, the dressing up, the holidays, the Christmases......

Still very upset about my sister's ordeal. No-one has spoken to her yet, not even my Mum as she is far too groggy still. We will all feel better when we can hear her voice.

In other (much less important news) my big meeting with the man from Estonia for my new business went very well yesterday and things are moving ahead. Today I had two new business meetings for my PR company and unless I am very much mistaken, we got them both. Panic! House move. Too much work. May combust.

Anyway back to my niece, will you just look at her!!!!!!!
