Busking

What a triumph of a day with Squidge. Despite her waking up mega early (normally a clear sign we're in for a tough day), I managed to bring her round.

Split the day into intensive one-on-one chunks of play and Mummy time mixed in with me having to work (so Squidge playing alone). It worked really well.

We ran errands, had hamburgers and ice cream for lunch and even managed a scoot in the park and a meet up and cuppa with Laura and baby Ava.

Took this picture of Squidge helping a busker make some money in Chorlton earlier with her ladybird maracas! She was so funny!

We heard directly from my sister today. The more I hear about her labour ordeal, the more I retreat into myself. It's as though my brain just won't compute was has happened to her. My poor little sister. It was barbaric. She is in such good spirits considering (what happened, the pain she's still in etc) apparently and is focusing all her love and energies on my niece (who unfortunately also has an infection but is responding well to drugs).

My Mum messaged me earlier to say she is in awe of my sister's courage and I couldn't agree more.
