The night before

It's a mother's prerogative to re-live her labour and birth stories with her children on the occasion of their birthday.

My mum often told me the story of how she knitted harder and faster as each of the contractions came.

Seems I've told all the stories to No 1 !  18 years ago, I was at the business end of delivering this little bundle of joy.  Although she hung in for another 6 hours (probably waiting for the shoe and handbag ships to open!).

Looking forward to seeing the birthday girl tomorrow.. xxx
