Not Porty People or Places

Fortuitous re-scheduling of meetings for later in the week gave us the chance to head north of The Forth today to take advantage of the rising temperatures and the unbroken sunshine. ( For once the weather  forecast was really accurate!)

We climbed up to Castle Campbell through Dollar Glen. The path was slippery in places and the potential drops into the frothing ravine certainly concentrated the mind!

The castle, when we eventually got there, was closed due to circumstances beyond "their control"! No worries as  it gives us a perfect excuse to return later in the spring.

We climbed further into the Ochils for some even fresher air and deeper snow. As you can see, the views were well worth the effort and excitement from traversing a further precipitous part of this ravine.

When we got back to the car park it was warm enough to have our soup and sandwiches en plein air for the first time this year!
