Tolly Beers

Tolly Cobbold brewed on the Cliff Brewery site until 2002, bringing to an end 256 years of brewing at that site. The brewery can be traced back to the 1720's.

Any Tolly Cobbold beer today has been brewed by Greene King in Bury St Edmunds, they had acquired Ridleys in 2005 who themselves purchased Tolly in 2002.

The old brewery is today standing empty, planning is underway to redevelop the Cliff Quay site with houses, a supermarket and a brewery heritage museum. The Brewery Tap operates as an independent pub and restaurant.
