Brand New Day

I have to be honest... I set off this morning with high expectations.
Not always a good thing.

When you're lying in bed, wide awake because you can't sleep, what should you do?
Go out and find today's blip, of course!

Reasons for not being able to sleep?
Just a common or garden head cold, with a selection of aches and pains thrown in, probably from the herd of wildebeest that stampeded over me the other day.

I didn't see them coming. I just woke up with the after-effects.
It's only a cold. It'll be gone in a day or so.

So...
High expectations.
Plus camera.
Plus tripod in the boot.
Out the door at around 5.09 a.m.

Saw enough pheasants to make around 5 large pies, so many bunnies and one foxy fox who saw me just before I saw him and consequently ran for cover. Something he did very well, but not before he ran some distance in front of me down the quiet country lane.

I might have to consider making a pop-up transportable hide for the car. One which I can use whilst on the move, ideally?!

After my foray into the countryside for early morning blips,I found I had many pictures to choose from, but none have really jumped out at me. There were one or two that gave a little wave and a couple that looked at me shyly, hoping not to be picked.

This is one of them.

And it's definitely going to be another scorcher.
