Life's sad moments

Heartbreak today as the only surviving chick fails to survive the night.

We made the mistake of removing all but three of the eggs from the nest as we didn't think the hen would come and sit on them. She did, and two of them hatched. The nest was in a tree. One died immediately and the other after 24 hours. The hen was distraught but got over it and is fine now. The boys (especially Leo) as still distraught.
