2014 more running needed

A step in the right direction.

The slip from the weighing scales doesn't say anything until it is put into context.

On January 1st I weighed in at 83 kg (13 stones if you prefer).

Going to the gym often is paying dividends.

At the start of January I Could swim 200 metres and struggle.

Tonight I have swum 2 km, yes TEN TIMES that distance!

The result of all of this exercise, and a better diet, is a weight loss of 4.1 kg (over 9 pounds).

The secret that goes along with the exercise and diet is an app on my phone called MyFitnessPal.

By recording the food I eat I can check how much exercise I need to do in order to burn the calories off.

So I can eat pretty much what I want so long as I match the intake with at least the same level of activity.

Those 2 km in the pool tonight have meant I could loaf on the sofa tonight with chocolate and wine. There must be a book in there....
