Ostrich Lobelia

The higher meadows in the park are home to plants that are endemic to Mount Kenya or only found there and the limited number of other alpine zones in East Africa.

One of my favourites was the Ostrich Lobelia, soft and feathery to touch and with beautiful colours. Peter called it Captain Caveman, and there was a certain resemblance.
