Field of dreams

A back blip thanks to my ISP removing access to blipfoto :-/
Taken on the way to work Friday at the same place as Thursday's blip. I wanted something better although that was liked by a number of fellow blippers. I learnt a lesson immediately afterwards. Was just a mile or two from the office so I put the tripod in the back and my camera on the seat - I wasn't going to leave it in the car all day.
Just 300yds down the road some **** of a driver went straight a cross a cross roads from behind a lorry with a big trailer - I always expect somebody to do something stupid here so had approached at 40. She did this when I was unsighted and only 15 yards from her. Fortunately my car has magic brakes that take over in an emergency stop situation and I was able to miss her by inches. Unfortunately, Newton's third law still applied itself to my camera - my 5D and 100-400 zoom - all 2+kg of it disappeared into the footwell with an almighty crash.
Relieved at not totalling my car, my thoughts turned to my camera - oh ****! I gathered my thoughts and got to work where I was very glad to find the extent of the damage was just the circular polarising filter had a big scratch across the centre and is a write-off.
In future I'll stow the whole lot where it belongs.
