Walk on the beach at Eype

It was a long journey down to Dorset from the Midlands today. As a Bank Holiday weekend that was to be expected. The holdups on the M5 started much earlier than I expected with queues reported not far of Gloucester, so, we decided to abandon the motorway and skirt around the eastern side of Bristol. As well as moving at a reasonable speed, I suspect the lack of motorway stress helped us get a good start to the week.

Had a walk along the beach towards West Bay. Sat on the rocks and watched the wave crash onto the steeply shelved pebble beach and into a large rock right at the edge of the sea. Most relaxing.

As you can see, the beach was all but deserted.
