Bontebok
My cousin was visiting us, so we took him to the nearby Bontebok National Park, which is the smallest of the 22 national parks in South Africa. I only know of a few of the others, will have to find out where the rest are. Of course the most famous is the Kruger National Park, which is in the North of South Africa and very big with all kinds of animals. This one has a few types of buck and apparently over 200 kinds of birds. We are not bird people, but my cousin kept on telling us the different types of birds he saw
It was a good day, and we had a picnic in the park, ending with us demolishing half of a watermelon. One is not allowed to disturb the vegetation in the park, or feed the animals, so M was afraid that the watermelon pips that we spit out might be a problem. I suggested that we worry about that if we come back in a year's time and see a plantation of watermelons!
