International Women's Day
So, that was today. I was supposed to be going to a Women for Independence Economics event in Dundee, but woke up feeling fluey, with a terrible sore throat.
Decided to dose up on the old Lemsips, and have a morning in bed finishing off my book. Which was lovely.
Felt a bit better late afternoon, so phoned Mum to see if she needed to get out for some shopping. She did, and we had a potter round the Factory Shop and Morrison's before I took her home and came back to make the tea. Made it easy on myself by getting a ready cooked chicken, and just chucked a bit of salad and a baked tattie at it.
Now I am going to settle on the sofa to watch the first episode of the remade Poldark, with a wee glass of red to soothe my throat. Hope it (the programme) is half as good as the original, with the wonderful Robin Ellis in the lead role. I love costume drama, and was sorely let down by Wolf Hall, which was an over-rated dirge of a production in my opinion.
So sad the weekend is over, and we are all back to work tomorrow.
