Public Meditation

Today at 1 p.m., twenty people organized by the Buddhist Peace Fellowship of Portland created a public meditation in a small urban park. It was deeply nourishing to stop doing and BE, to meditate on safety for all beings, and to feel the peaceful energy together. For one sweet, sunny, loving half-hour we were the spirit of loving kindness in a public place. No speeches, no signs, no banners, nothing to sign; no food to prepare, no mess to clean up: just good people standing, sitting, and walking together in peace.

More pictures.

I am grateful for the hearts and stars given yesterday, and I accept them on behalf of the President whose spirit inspires so many of us.
