Severn Valley Railway.

Another lovely day so we went a walk in Shropshire which took us into the village of Highley.

Our route was taking us over the railway bridge at the station which meant that we had to walk along the platform. We got as far as the ticket office and ended up buying two all day tickets. The next train soon arrived so we caught it and had our lunch in Bridgnorth. On our return to Highley we visited the Severn Valley Railway Museum which was very interesting and well worth another visit.

We continued our walk back to where we had parked the car in the Country Park at Alveley, having covered four and a half miles. The temperature in the car read 33 degrees although it settled down to 28 during the drive home where we enjoyed a refreshing glass of Kumala red.
