Raindrops keep falling.
After yesterday's sunshine we are back to mizzle, and rain.
A drive into Penzance, to stock up with a few provisions, and then over to Hayle where we bought our fourth pasty of the holiday, from Philps.
Eaten in the car, overlooking the harbour, along with a few other people doing exactly the same!
It cleared up for a while and so we had a walk along the Millponds Trail.
Past the ruins of the foundry and rope works, along the woodland path which follows the Penpol Leet, whose waters powered the waterwheels of the mills that serviced the original foundry.
Today it is hard to imagine that in the 19th Century Hayle was a busy thriving town and port.
Not good weather for photos, and so decided on this lovely camellia, which is flowering in the garden.
We had a very enjoyable lunch and afternoon with our friends. Never stopped talking! Seeing them again on Wednesday.
I wonder what you thought of the new Poldark series?
We certainly enjoyed it.Very different from the last one.
