Selfie with truck on the beach!
We heard that two cars got stuck on the beach over the weekend! We went to the beach today. One got out but the other....a pickup truck...is really dug in! Those familiar with our beach will know it is difficult to drive on the beach under the best circumstances. And, the beach covered in melting snow and muddy sand makes it impossible! The rear axle on the truck appears to be bent or broken and the front tires are dug in up to the axles! To complicate the recovery of this vehicle, it is parked in a north/south direction. The tow trucks will have a problem because the approach will be east/west........and the beach right now is probably on 20 feet wide. Fortunately for the owner, the snow/icebergs appear to be 6-8 feet high creating an ice wall so the water cannot get on the beach at high tide. However, our car registered 60 degrees in the sun today. How long will it take for the ice to break off and the full moon tides bring the water back up the beach?
Hope it happens before the tides come in!
