Newark Castle
Our rented cottage for the weekend was close to Newark Castle on the Fife Coastal Path and, despite its derelict state, it became the subject of many photographs (most of which have since been deleted as is the way of these things).
Sunday was a totally different day from Saturday: the strong wind had dropped and the overcast skies had been replaced by bright sunshine. A walk into St Monans in the morning to attend church and, after lunch, a walk along the path towards Elie, although we had to cut that short in order to clear up, vacate the cottage and return home.
A most enjoyable and relaxing break. Batteries recharged and ready for another week (almost!)
