Cycling ......

It's all about having the right gear, and I'm not taking about Lycra. That's something you will never see me wearing, much to the relief of the rest of the world I imagine. No, I'm just about the only person you will see flying around the country lanes of Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire on a road bike but dressed in mountain bike gear. Loose fitting and comfortable - that's more me.

Made progress with yesterday's list and managed to get a bit of reading done as well. Went for a ride late in the afternoon and was on target to complete a 28km ride in a little over an hour which would have been pretty good going for me but then I was struck by another puncture! These damn skinny road tyres are punctured so easily, so I'm going to buy a new set with a protective layer to minimize the risk. So that's a new saddle, new pedals and now new tyres. At this rate, I will have replaced the entire bike pretty soon.
