Still glides the stream

It was a beautiful morning and Russet and I set off for a circular walk around the village and through the fields. We haven't managed this walk for some time, as the mud has been too thick and slippery! She bounded into this field with great joy!
When she was younger, she would have been down the banks and into the water in a flash, but now, at 10 and a half, she is not quite so keen! I have seen a kingfisher here, but today just these daffodils - surely no one planted them here, between two fields!
