Arc de Triomphe

I found it a little surreal leaving my hotel this morning, walking round the corner and then finding myself at the top of the Champs-Élysées.

My second day in Paris consisted of munching on croissants and sipping espresso in a riverside cafe on the Seine; wandering around Notre-dame plus taking in many other sights using the Time Out walking tour app (highly recommended for DIY sightseeing); taking in some art at the Musée d'Orsay and finally enjoying a crêpe beside the Eiffel Tower before getting on the train back to Basel.

I have enjoyed my gloriously sunny birthday weekend en France.
