Last Day
Final day in Spain was a sunny 24C. We had a farewell lunch in our favourite chiringuito - one of those re-built to meet the new regulations. Tastefully done, and with spectacular views along the coast. The best of the regulations that govern these "beach bars" is the one that stipulates that only fresh fish can be served. We had lenguado and lubina grilled on the plancha. Marvellous!
It will be with heavy hearts that we set off early tomorrow on a five hour drive to Murcia - the first leg of our three-day drive home to France. But we are booked into a former monastery up in the hills which we know offers great food and stunning views. So... some compensation.
