My symbol of spring

Spring is my favourite season, not only because it's a pretty season, because life renews itself, but because it gives me the anticipation of brighter things to come ... more spring, then summer, and perhaps after that I'm ready for the vibrant colours that autumn can bring.

Today, where I live, the weather (despite that it's spring, or perhaps because of it) is wet and cold - 3degC at the moment - so I'm staying home. For that reason, today's blip involved a trip of just a few metres from my back door, to photograph this daffodil, my personal favourite symbol of spring, and my late wife's favourite flower altogether.
