Technology is beaten by technology.

Those of us in the UK will know, well, this chain of video/DVD rental stores which went bust some time ago. These days we can stream movies down from the internet, or watch catch-up TV. Poor old Blockbuster didn't stand a chance.

I was reflecting, after having taken this iPhone pic, just how much technology has changed over the years. My dad died in 1974, at the ridiculously young age of 52, but he knew nothing of CDs/DVDs, cassette tapes, Walkman, HD TV. I suppose the list could be almost endless if you take time out to reflect on what technology has given us over the last four decades.  Where will it be when my kids are my age, I wonder!
