Not the Sewing Bee

Not all my children admit to any sewing ability and newly arrived Porty daughter has decided she is one of non sewers which is why I have been requested to make some cushion covers to grace her new settee.

A simple enough request you may think having watched the creations run up by the contestants in the recent Sewing Bee on television, but with a total lack of space for sewing in the Dower House, I have had to take over the dining room table and sew between meals.
It's so long since I used my trusty 30 year old sewing machine that I hope it behaves like the trooper it has been in the past.

I'm frightened to ask how many covers she wants, but she's given me a vast amount of material. I'll start with two.
