I'll go no more a ranging
Ok, today's offering is an entirely awful photograph taken with the wrong settings and pulled back into some semblance of viability with Photoshop. But the story's quite a giggle.
Yesterday, as I related on my blog, we met a lady as we wandered the village who asked if we knew about chickens, because she had found one in her garden and didn't know what to do with it! We eventually captured said chook and took her home, putting up a "Chicken Found" notice in case anyone was interested. So now we have seven...
This morning we had a tap on the door. The next door neighbour said quietly, do you know one of your chickens is out? So, once again (and it is once again) we forgot to trim the flight feathers. That's a job for tonight then, when they've all gone sleepy time in the coop.
Another chase ensued, across vegetable beds, gardens and road, until we finally coaxed her back into the chicken run, where she's been helping us turn out the compost bins. Assuming she's still there tonight for her trim, I guess she'll be a permanent member of the family.
