Forging Ahead

My neighbour J has a small forge in her garden and is often making decorative useful things out of steel. This morning she was refurbishing a very old garden fork, heating the tines in the forge before straightening them on an anvil. Also shown is a foraging hook which she made for us last year which was invaluable in collecting sloes for the sloe gin and blackberries for all sorts of purposes.
