Times Of My Life

Mills is on Duty

Bit of housework this morning, walked the dog, and then headed into town to meet two friends from work, and one who left a couple of years ago.

The four of us are in a Lottery Syndicate, and meet up once a year for lunch or theatre or something, paid for out of our massive winnings.  We only pay 50p a week each, which gets us one Saturday Lucky Dip now.  Our winnings for the past year have amounted to £59!

Anyway, after a nice lunch with lots of lady gossip, I headed off to Aldi and Lidl to see what new treats they had in store.  Bought some heathers for my front garden, and a hanging basket of lovely orange Violas for Mum.

My plan was to go and visit her, and just casually hang them up on the bracket at her front door without saying anything.  Plan was foiled, as the bracket has been removed!

As I walked down the path to the front door, I was struck by the comic appearance of little Millie lying on the back of the sofa, watching the world go by - right beside the 'Security' sign!  I don't think Mills is quite the sort of dog usually employed by security companies (although if they could hear her bark  ............  ).
