Mother's Day

My sister, father and I all visited mum today, with flowers and cards. She seemed pleased.

A punctuation question: each of us only has one mother and so, for every child, it is "Mother's Day."  However, if the day is one when many people thank their mothers, could it not also be "Mothers' Day?"  Just asking.
