Murmurs and Rumours

There have been fantastic murmurations of starlings on the North Shore of Rutland Water in the evenings for the past week or more. Ros and I decided to venture out to catch them tonight. We were not disappointed - there were thousands and thousands of them swirling in undulating clouds for 45 minutes or so.
Everybody (not surprisingly) seems to be a bit disconcerted by rumours of the death of Blipfoto. It could be that these rumours turn out to be unfounded. I hope so.- although strange things are happening...
