Castell Coch again

Further to my blip on 13th March, showing the exterior of the castell, this magnificent fireplace and chimney breast is situated in the living room. The moulding on It depicts the three fates. From left to right is Clotho, the spinner who spun the thread of a
persons life, Lachesis, the apportioner who decided how long the thread was, and therefore how much time was apportioned to each person. Lastly is Atropos, the inevitable, who cut the thread when it was time for you to die. The whole castell is decorated in a similar vein and the ceilings can only be described as stunning and I will post a blip of one tomorrow.
