Byron Bay

Up at 730 for a short run, along the quay to the opera house, a sprint up and down the steps and then a loop around the botanical garden.
After breakfast we wandered around a bit before catching a taxi to the airporr and a flight to Balina and then a short easy drive to Byron Bay.
So here we are. Journey was not quite as relaxing as we had hoped . Not had much experience with automatic cars. But after slowing down at a roundabout and hitting down hard on the clutch, which was actually the brake, I started to get the idea. Not sure the guy behind or Liz have recovered from the shock yet though.
Finally made it to the hotel and a short walk out back took us to this view. Can't be bad.
Had a good dinner in town. When I asked to see the wine list, the waitress said: it's BYO here. Which means you go down the road to the local "bottle shop" to buy your wine. Different countries, different ways, vive la différence.
