Aperture on Life

A Picture Paints a Thousand Words

Hello everyone! I don't think you've ever seen my face before.  I can now tell you that I don't do selfies and am unlikely to try again soon.  Where is my lodger when I need him?

"A picture paints a thousand words" Those lyrics are so true.
I can go back and look at any photograph I've loaded to this site during the past three years and instantly recall where I was, who I was with and what I was doing that day.  There have been some very personal moments recorded here, even though the words in the blurb rarely refer to the instances. The simplest of images can carry emotions of happiness, sadness, of wishes and concerns, that those that don't know me personally can never guess.  I have friends and family spread throughout the world who can be close by seeing my world unfold day to day. Missing journals have become missing days in my life.

Blipfoto is unique. I've met some of you, some I hope to meet in the future and there are others that I would like to meet but know the chances are improbable. I know of no other site that could tie complete strangers, regardless of their background, together in a truly caring and supportive community.

My heart goes out to Joe and all those from Blip Central, who's roles have terminated so abruptly. When the new owners take over, there will be inevitable changes but, with this photo, my wish is that we can give them a chance, remain a community and continue to give credit to the team that made it all possible.

Carry on Blipping!
