Oberlech, Austria
Today we had a trip in the cable car up to the hamlet of Oberlech, which sits 1750 metres above sea level and 200m above Lech. In the winter Oberlech is a car free zone, only being reached by cable car or the many ski runs. We wandered round this tiny hamlet, enjoying the views and stopped for coffee before taking the cable car back down to Lech.
The sun only made a brief appearance today and the skies were rather grey, so mono suited this image. The view is looking down over Oberlech with the Omeshorn mountain on the right.
This evening at dinner my mum met her cousin's daughter Vroni. She had heard we were staying at the hotel and popped in to see us. The last time my mum had seen Vroni was when my mum got married in Lech, some sixty years ago!
