It's Sunday...
so it must be blue tit day.
Well they're still feeding their little chicks, but I can tell the little one's voices are changing as they grow. Still no idea how many are in there, but they make a lot of noise.
I spent quite some time today trying to catch a parent leaving the box. This one's ok, but not what I was after. As they leave they propel themselves away from the box in the shape of a torpedo until they're perhaps 12-15 inches out - then they open their wings an fly.
As the box is in the shade, I was having big problems getting a fast enough exposure to freeze the bird in mid-air. As a good workman always blames his tools, I blame my camera:)
Or is it the other way round...?
