Telephone "Pedestal"

This is a totally lazy, throwaway DerelictThursday blip. It's a thing standing just at the edge of the woods just behind the house - on the hill above the creek. It used to be where the telephone line that came up from the road (underground) was hooked onto the line that went into our house. It is my understanding that it is no longer functional and hasn't been for years. Of course, now that I say that, I'm not exactly sure what the current arrangement is. I think the line, same line basically, comes up directly into a box that's on the wall by one of our back doors. But this thing - derelict thing that it is - is still standing out there and probably will be for a long time to come.
