The smallest room
If you are ever driving between the Swedish coast and Östersund, via the village of Stugan (see map), let me recommend that you stop to fill the car up in the garage, just before you cross the river.
Whilst there ask for the key to the toilet/washroom, (which is on the outside of the garage). You will find this fascinating room, filled with all sorts of wonderful, eclectic items, all of which have something to do with the village, the county, or the culture of the area.
Unless you speak Swedish you won’t appreciate all of it but even so it is definitely worth a look.
The red circle in the center is on a notebook called “Dass dagbook”, which means “Toilet Diary”. It’s a sort of visitors’ book and is filled with praise for this room and other pithy comments from customers. It is in a basket with 8 similar notebooks, all filled with similar comments from satisfied users over the last years.
Eccentricity at its best!
PS Thanks for nice comments yesterday!
