The Wallace Collection
Met up with a young engineer and decided to take her to have a quick look at the Wallace Collection in Hertford House in Manchester Square. I wanted to visit mainly to have a look at their current exhibition: Joshua Reynolds - Experiments in Paint. I don't know much about paint (except of the Dulux variety) but the paintings by a whole range of artists is pretty stunning. The laughing Cavalier by Frans Hals (and painted in 1624) is probably the most famous painting in the permanent collection
