Here we go again!

Strasbourg cathedral + Tchotchkies

A second, wonderful day in Strasbourg! We did a boat tour on the Illl this morning then a visit to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art which I really enjoyed. I took *lots* of photos of works by Jean Arp (originally from Strasbourg) and Sophie Taeuber-Arp that will be a nice addition to my lecture on Dada in EURO*2200. I never had many images of their work to choose from before, and now I will have my pick! Th was hoping to see the Signac painting that belongs to the Gallery and we were disappointed to learn that it is currently on loan in China.

We visited another museum this afternoon. (Ch was getting a little musemed-out but went along). This was the museum that houses the art from the Cathedral. They had a show of 15th century sculptures by Nicolas de Leyde which were quite beautiful. This was taken after the museum visit. Ch is "admiring" the Alsatian tchotchkies (lots of stuffed storks, gingerbread and kougelhopf pans).

Dinner was a tarte flambée entrée and a choucroute garnie outside on place Gutenberg.
