Wasserfallen

A perk of having visitors is you can do things you shouldn't really do by yourself like hiking. Today Emma, Claire and I travelled to Reigoldswil in Basellandschaft (the neighbouring canton to Basel-stadt) and took a cable car up to Wasserfallen. A lot of the outdoor activities and restaurants were closed because it is still low season but we still enjoyed our day scrambling up still slightly snow covered paths to the highest point in the region, Hinteregg (1169 m but we started at 900 m really!).

In the evening we went to my favourite restaurant in Basel for some Swiss food. Claire wasn't too impressed with Raclette, as Swiss a dish as fondue - gherkins, potatoes, picked onions and melted cheese on top!
