Eclipse...

Well it's fair to say that my photographic skills are somewhat lacking in this particular department. I definitely liked the shots of all the random people out in Charlotte Square with a variety of rice crispies boxes and the like. The Castle was directly underneath the eclipse from my viewpoint out of the other window but I'm about as clueless as rxs on why my shots all turned out like his. I had my welders glass and everything. I really should have been watching the muppets politicians from Bute House on their doorstep... I'm sure that would have been a more interesting Blip.

So here you have some random office bods out in the square just as it was all going on. It was a bit of a let down if I'm honest. The last eclipse I saw... I think it was 1999... was totally spectacular and this didn't really measure up. Still... there are enough shots of it knocking around, I'm sure you didn't miss out.

You nearly didn't miss out on me posting a shot of my arse as a bit of a tongue in cheek full moon shot but I suspect someone would come out of hiding and ban my ass... literally! Consider yourselves to have had a lucky escape.

Sometimes, I think of the sun and the moon as lovers who rarely meet, always chase and almost always miss one another. But once in a while, they do catch up, and they kiss, and the world stares in awe of their eclipse.
