Rangitoto Skies
I spent the evening on the Orakei jetty, awaiting the departure of the Queen Mary 2. An interesting couple of hours, chatting to fishermen (who weren't catching anything), other photographers, and actually only a few there to see the ship. But the highlight for me was the gorgeous patterns of the clouds in all directions. I didn't know which way to turn. The views over the city or the other way to the east? I settled on this shot over Rangitoto and the entrance to the Waitemata Channel.
The Queen Mary 2 did look majestic as she went past at quite close quarters, but she was running a bit late and very dark by then. I did get some pics but not great. I might add them to Flickr tomorrow.
