O is for Osaka

Japan on a weekend is a bit like the census in Bethlehem.  You need to get in early to get a bed.  Our choice to stay at was an extra day at Fukuoka but there was no room at the hotel, fully booked, so we decided we would go to Hiroshima.  Well there wasn't a room in the Inn there either so we have wound up in Osaka.  It was either here or a very expensive hotel in Tokyo.  

We are down at the waterfront, miles from the central action but close to Universal studios, the Aquarium and other bits and pieces.  I actually like this area but we are going to try and get to Osaka castle tomorrow and then back to the Shinkansen to Tokyo and for me on to Narita and then home.  I have a feeling we might be trying to do too much on a tight time frame.  Wish me luck.
